Insight given gives clues to the READERS OF HIS IDENTITY BEFORE THE of his identity before the figures it out for herself While the added insight was appreciated and I enjoyed it better than Gone Cold it still failed to hold my attention as well as Cold Heatand Gone ColdGone Cold Review Gone Cold was straight forward suspense from the first page Morgan s new husband Tom gets a text message that has her concerned and she slowly realizes that she knows very little about the man she recently married I enjoyed the suspense of the first story as it kept the pace and makes it easy to finish the almost 100 page suspense storyThe best feature of all three stories is the collaboration all three authors had done to get details of an overall larger story throughout Even though Gone Cold didn t actually take place at the lodge the author was still careful to leave hearsay details that hinted at the bigger picture Overall this book was a good read and one I would consider reading again I acuired this book by borrowing it from the library Back CoverGone Cold by USA TODAY bestselling author BJ Daniels Ice Lake is the ideal romantic getaway for Morgan Sinclair and her new husband Tom Cooper until Tom s past catches up with him Snowed in with a man who isn t what he seems and a killer out for revenge Morgan must unravel the truth before it s too latebut can she trust the man she marriedCold Heat by USA TODAY bestselling author Delores Fossen Leah Gray has never forgotten Alex McCade her ex loverand new supervisor When a blizzard strands the wounded FBI agent and her boss together at a remote Montana lodge their passion reignites hotter than ever But danger has stalked Leah to the resort and now keeping her safe is Alex s only missionStone Cold by Julie MillerWounded war hero Daniel Stone ust wants to escape to the solitude of his Rocky Mountain home But Deputy Sheriff Kylie Webber needs his help tracking down a killer at the snowed in Ice Lake Resort Secretly in love with Daniel since she was a girl Kylie vows to heal his heart by turning stone cold danger into red hot loveGreat set of novellas with an over arching story that spanned all three If you expect to have each story wrapped up in night neat packages please don t read Each story has its own plot but the overall serial killer arch is introduced in the first story developed in the second and finally resolved in the third Great collaboration between very successful writers and well worth reading IMHO these 3 ladies did an amazing ob with this bookits about a winter resort that gets snowed in a honeymoon couple and she wonders if she can trust her new husband and two serial killers that are stranded there alsoa book *Well Worth Reading In The Winter Weathera Must Readloved It *worth reading in the winter weathera must readloved it romantic suspense stories that are uick to read They all have a wintry setting and a killer on the loose My favorite was Gone Cold by BJ Daniels I always love her books The other two wer. Ice LakeE very enjoyable as well with a good plot All three stories were good The suspense was excellent In the first I found I was having a harder time than usual connecting with the heroine but I think that was because of the shortness of the story I really liked her friend Luke In the second I liked the way they worked together even though Alex was trying to keep Leah at arm s length The action in dealing with the serial killer kept me turning the pages as fast as I could read The third story had my favorite characters Julie Miller writes a terrific Marine hero and I loved the way he worked to keep Kylie safe while letting her do her ob This book has three different authorsstories that all flow together perfectly B J Daniels Delores Fossen and Julie Miller all are terrific authorsIn all honesty it seemed that only one author wrote the stories that is how good they flowed togetherI loved each story and wish I could give a 5 star for each storyI couldn t put the book down as I had to see what happened nextA Ve Gone Cold by BJ Daniels This absolutely terrifying nearly tragic love story is perfect in every way Loved itCold Heat by Delores Fossen This is a really great story It is strong and terrifying I Delores Fossen This is a really great story It is strong and terrifying I these characters and this plotStone Cold by Julie MillerI loved this one too It is really terrific how these three authors came together and wrote three entwined mysteryroman The three stories of this collection were uick and easy reads with a bit of romance mixed in The shared location of a ski resort dealing with murderers linked them together nicely The short length of each story made it difficult for the characters to develop enough for me to connect with them The suspense of the stories had varying success The first story Gone Cold felt removed from the other two as it didn t deal with the same criminals It was the one that kept me guessing the most but also had the least romance In an attempt to further connect the first story to the others the author included a minor run in between the attempt to further connect the first story to the others the author included a minor run in between the character and the killers from the other stories Unfortunately this meant that there was virtually no suspense for me as a reader during the second story Cold Heat as I already knew which character was the murderer The final book Stone Cold was successful than the others at establishing a backstory for the romantic leads relationship It was also the best at developing the villain and giving him a believable motive I wasn t very happy with the ending however Although the book continually attempts to establish that Kylie is a capable and skilled police officer there is not much evidence given of this and through her own mistakes she ends up needing to be rescued by Daniel I would have much preferred an ending that was not so reliant on one person rescuing another I would recommend this book to people looking for a very uick read with a little bit of romance and a relatively simple suspense plot.
